Unofficial Summer Club

Hey everyone staying around Westwood during the summer,

I (Tall Andy) am thinking doing weekly or a few unofficial club meetings this summer. There has been some interest, but I’d like to know who exactly would be interested, since I need to know if I can hold them at my apartment or if we would have to hold them someplace else (and if the former is chosen, I’m not exactly comfortable posting my personal adress on the internet).

So, if you’re interested, you can either email me at acecipherzero@gmail.com or also you could leave a comment below with some way to contact you (Do not worry, your contact information will NOT be posted on the internet, I’ll delete it and keep it privatee; also I’m the only one with access to such comments besides the president, who doesn’t look at them because that’s my job).

I hope to hear from at least a few of you, and I’ll see how it goes and inform you once the summer starts (or sooner) of what’s up.

– Tall Andy, Webmaster.

Week 6 Announcements

Wow, after this, there’s only three more meetings. Time sure does fly by, huh?

What you may have missed:

  1. “Zetman” has been dropped for “Tsuritama”. If you wish to keep up, two episodes have been screened.
  2. “Naruto SD: Rock Lee and His Ninja Pals” Episode 4. Courtesy of social director, Raj.
  3. And of course, the usual helping of “Space Brothers” and “Apollo of the Hillside: Boys on the Slope.” Continue reading

Hidden Treasures – Los Angeles County Museum of Art

If you’ve been with us for at least a couple of quarters or so, you know that we do things outside of our club room. Whether it is a shopping trip somewhere accessible by public transportation or a hang-out at a convention, we have made several of our excursions into traditional ones that we take on a periodical basis. Of course, if you have been keeping up with us for the past few weeks, you probably heard a tidbit or two about a seemingly unplanned trip to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (otherwise known as LACMA for short). The journey to LACMA may not be something we typically do as a group, but I would like to try my hand at making an attempt to place it amongst the ranks of our trips to nearby Sawtelle and Little Tokyo.
